Good Fun on Grandparents' Day

We celebrated "Grandparents' Day" with all of the Year 1 classes on Friday 9th March.
It was great fun to have so many Grandparents able to join us for the activities. We made handprints with our grandparents and read lots of stories. We sang songs for them and then we ate some delicious "G" foods. Thankyou to all those grandparents who were able to come. We hope that our grandparents who couldn't make it will enjoy looking at our blog and reading about all of the things we have been doing in class.

Grandchild's Hand
The promise of tomorrow
And the hope of dreams come true...
A reminder of the childhood
That's still a part of you...

The wonder of a miracle
From which this love began...
There is so much found in the touch
Of holding a grandchild's hand.

Kerry's nonna enjoyed herself very much at grandparents day, especially the song you all sang. Kerry's other grandparents could not be there, as they live in Hong Kong, but they heard all about it and were excited to hear all that went on. Thank you to all that made such a special morning happen.
